Made in France

Founded in 2007 in the heart of the Toulouse region, Laboratoire ABIOCOM specializes in the design and marketing of certified organic or natural origin food supplements and cosmetics.
The laboratory is proud of its local Occitan roots and prioritizes, whenever possible, the development of collaborations with partners in the region.

For Nutrivie, manufacturing in France is important for 4 reasons:
- to guarantee product quality and the reliability of labels,
- ensure traceability of production,
- reduce the distances and environmental impact of transport, support employment in France
- to contribute to a positive and local social impact.
The ABIOCOM Laboratory, and therefore Nutrivie, uses French producers and sources raw materials as close as possible, in order to strengthen local agricultural sectors.
Being an involved local player is one of the pillars behind the creation of the ABIOCOM Laboratory.
Long before CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) became fashionable, the company surrounded itself with an ecosystem of French subcontractors: some based in Occitanie and others in the rest of the French territory.
Concerned about the economic, social and environmental impact that its activities could have, the company has integrated into its daily operations the objective of working towards a positive local impact by ensuring that the integration of its productions is French.

French manufacturing expertise is at the forefront globally in sectors such as cosmetics, soap making, and perfumery. It was therefore natural for Nutrivie and Laboratoire ABIOCOM to rely on French partners with expertise in:
- either advanced technologies (example: cold room production process for facial care),
- either bearers of traditional know-how (example: soap-making process on the Valensole plateau),
- either heirs to an ancestral craft (example: hand-picking wildflowers).
Furthermore, French regulations and standards are often stricter in France than in other countries, thus ensuring greater quality and protection for the consumer (e.g., food supplements).

The ABIOCOM Laboratory was a pioneer in the traceability of ingredients and their organic certification.
The in-house R&D team rigorously selects the active ingredients present in all formulas and then ensures, with the help of its manufacturing partners:
- the quality of the raw material
This depends on many factors: geographical origin, harvest season, type of harvest, drying method, etc. Even if some ingredients are not found in France, we try
- Compliance with the specifications of the labels (organic, vegan, natural or made in France) at each stage of the manufacturing process
- banning certain ingredients when possible, prioritizing local sourcing, or even foregoing certain formulas
The choice, from the outset, to rely on 100% French manufacturing in a short supply chain for all production reflects the desire of Laboratoire ABIOCOM, and Nutrivie, to reduce the carbon footprint related to transport.
Today it is estimated that in France transport is the leading contributor (approx. 30%, source Ademe 2020) of greenhouse gases.
Beyond upstream transport, the ABIOCOM Laboratory has developed a logistics platform that allows for the consolidation of customer orders and the optimization of carrier routes to distributor customers, another factor in reducing downstream transport.
