You were able to enjoy the summer partly on vacation, relaxing, and enjoying these moments of calm and relaxation with family or friends. During this time, the workload was forgotten...

But all good things must come to an end, and September marks the return to "normal" for everyone: early morning wake-ups to take the kids to school, long minutes spent in traffic jams or on public transport, files piling up again on the desk, meetings lasting until late, etc.

All these activities start up again at the same time and can cause stress. In addition, the change of seasons with the arrival of autumn, synonymous with shorter hours of sunlight, can lead to mild depression in some people, known as "seasonal affective disorder."

The autumn season is ideal for a cure to restore our physical and especially mental energy, which is sometimes put to the test at this time of year.

To help you combat this emotional and physical stress, nature has given us two wonderful plants:

- There Bacopa ( Bacopa monnieri , also called Bhrami in Ayurvedic medicine): a succulent perennial plant native to India, with pale blue or white flowers, it generally grows in humid environments and marshes. Bacopa, which contains triterpene saponins (called bacosides), will help maintain good cognitive function, and contribute to relaxation by helping the body cope with stress .

Bacopa

- Rhodiola (Rhodiola rosea, also called Golden Root): a perennial plant covered with fleshy, toothed leaves, it grows in cold northern regions. It grows very slowly: its root grows 1 or 2 cm per year. Rhodiola root, which contains phenylpropanoids such as rosavins and salidrosine, will contribute to optimal intellectual and cognitive activity . It will also help the body adapt to emotional stress and physical exertion .

Rhodiola

These two plants, with their important calming properties, will help you recharge your batteries at the critical time of the September return to school, and allow you to have a smooth autumn. I therefore invite you, to get through the back-to-school season without any problems and to have a mentally strong feeling, to take these two fabulous plants... I wish you all not a good return to school, but a good return to plants!
